The North American anime distributor Aniplex of America announced on Monday that Seattle's Sakura-Con will host an exclusive screening of episodes 14 and 15 of the Fate/Zero television anime series (the second season's episodes 1 and 2) at 1:30 p.m. PDT on Saturday. The Fate/Zero producers Atsuhiro Iwakami and Katsushi Oota will appear at the event.
The Fate/Zero visual novel author Gen Urobuchi will also attend the Seattle-based anime convention. He will appear with Iwakami and Oota at a question and answer session on Friday at 3:00 p.m. PDT and autograph sessions on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. PDT and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. PDT. Urobuchi and Iwakami will also attend Aniplex of America's Puella Magi Madoka Magica panel on Saturday at 11 a.m. PDT.
The Fate/Zero anime's second season will premiere in Japan on April 7, after 36 theaters in Japan preview the first episodes the day before. The Niconico Live and Niconico Channel services simulcasted the series' first season outside of Japan in eight subtitled languages, and Crunchyroll also simulcasted the series outside of Japan.
The anime adapts Urobuchi's prequel novel to Type-Moon's Fate/stay night visual novel software. The story is set a decade before Fate/stay night and reveals the 4th Holy Grail War that sets the stage for the war in the software.
