Sony: PS Vita Sells 1.2 Million+ Units Worldwide

Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) announced on Tuesday that its PlayStation Vita game system has sold over 1.2 million units worldwide as of February 26. According to the source, the rapid sales signify a strong demand for the "ultimate portable entertainment system." SCE also announced PS Vita software sales have surpassed 2.0 million units worldwide "at both retail and on PlayStation Network."
The PS Vita launched in Japan on December 17. As of February 22, it has also launched in Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, North and Latin America, Europe and PAL territories, and Singapore.
