Nikkei: Nintendo 3DS Can Shoot, Upload 3D Videos After Update

The Japanese financial news source Nikkei reported on Friday that video support is coming to the Nintendo 3DS handheld system after users download the latest firmware update for the system in Novemeber.

Users will have the ability to shoot and store up to 10 minutes of video. The videos can then be uploaded to video-sharing websites such as YouTube, although Nikkei does not specify if the 3DS itself can directly upload to those sites.

Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata will host a presentation on Friday, October 21.
