Media Blasters Announces Bakuman. Dub Cast

The North American anime distributor Media Blasters announced on its Facebook page on Friday its English dub cast for its upcoming DVD release of the Bakuman. television anime series.
The dub cast is as follows:

- Miyuki, Iwase – Veronica Taylor
- Miho Azuki – Stephanie Sheh
- Kawasaki, Hayato – Jason Griffith
- Fumio, various teachers – Mike Pollock
- Kayoko – Julie Francis
- Suzuki, Eiji – Robby Sharpe
- Hattori – Wayne Grayson
- Aida, incidentals – Scottie Ray
- Sasaki – Dan Green
- Nobuhiro, Kim – Marc Diraison
- Miyoshi, incidentals – Amanda Shuckman
- Yujiro – Chris Niosi
- Various – Matt Bernhard, Rachael Lillis
Media Blasters' AnimeWorks label will start releasing the anime on DVD this November with the first seven episodes. Media Blasters also confirmed it will release Bakuman. 2, which is slated to air on October 1.
The original manga that inspired the anime was written by Tsugumi Ohba and drawn by Takeshi Obata — the co-creators of Death Note. The story involves Moritaka Mashiro, a junior high school student, who is persuaded to work towards becoming a manga creator with the encouragement of two classmates. Viz Media publishes the manga in North America.
