FanimeCon announced on Thursday that it will host the first overseas performance of Japanese singer Yūya Matsushita during the May 27-30 convention's MusicFest event in San Jose, California. Matsushita performed the ending theme songs "Trust Me" and "Bird" for the television anime series Durarara!! and Black Butler II (Kuroshitsuji II), respectively. He made his professional debut with the single "foolish foolish" in 2008.
Matsushita starred as the title character, Sebastian Michaelis, in the live-action stage play versions of Yana Toboso's Black Butler manga. He also played a role in the 2010 live-action film version of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Toki o Kakeru Shōjo) novel by Yasutaka Tsutsui, and Matsushita's "Futari" song appeared in the film.
