CD singles from One Piece, Sore de mo Machi wa Mawatteiru (SoreMachi), Ore no Imōto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai (Oreimo), and Otome Yōkai Zakuro all debuted in the top 10 of Oricon's ranking chart for the October 18-24 week.
"One Day" and "irony" mark the debuts of The Rootless, a four-piece rock band, and ClariS, a pair of second-year middle-school girls from Hokkaido. Maaya Sakamoto posts the latest in a string of singles that date back to 1996's "Yakusoku wa Iranai" from The Vision of Escaflowne. "Moon Signal" is the second consecutive top-10 single (after "Now Loading...!SKY!!" from Asobi ni Iku yo!) from Sphere, the group composed of voice actresses Minako Kotobuki, Ayahi Takagaki, Haruka Tomatsu, and Aki Toyosaki.
