posted on by Gia Manry
Anime News Network (ANN) and the anime licensor Aniplex USA have jointly announced that ANN will simulcast the television comedy anime series Oreimo. The series, which is also known by its full title Ore no Imōto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai ("My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute"), revolves around a high school boy who learns that his little sister is a closet otaku who collects anime DVDs and bishōjo video games.
The anime adapts Tsukasa Fushimi's ongoing light novel series of the same name, which launched in 2008. Sakura Ikeda's ongoing manga adaptation launched in March of 2009, and the anime series began airing on Sunday on Tokyo MX TV. Hiroyuki Kanbe (Viper's Creed) is directing, while Hideyuki Kurata (Kamichu!, Read or Die) is supervising and writing the scripts.
The series will be ANN's first simulcast.
