posted on by Egan Loo
The North American distributor Funimation has announced that its Funimation Anime video-on-demand content is now available on the Comcast Cable service nationwide in the United States. The Funimation Channel has been already serving anime on demand on Comcast's Anime Selects Channel in selected areas since January. The FUNimation Channel's anime content is now in both The Cutting Edge folder and the Movie & Events folder of Comcast On Demand.
The free Funimation Anime offerings in The Cutting Edge folder include Ouran High School Host Club, Aquarion, Mushi-Shi, and Black Blood Brothers, with new titles being added weekly. The Movie & Events folder is posting pay-per-view content, including some anime before their DVD releases. This month, the folder includes D.Gray-man, Devil May Cry, xxxHOLiC, and Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE. This summer, the folder will have Heroic Age, Romeo X Juliet, Murder Princess, and Viz Media's Honey and Clover and NANA.
