It also seems that Anime Selects is gonna end its run today.
At least in my area, since they haven't gotten any new shows in the last 2 weeks, and all the shows up expire today.

I have not seen any anime in Comcast's VOD area for probably about a year or so now. Are you sure this is nationwide? I just checked again this weekend and didn't see a single thing.

You get the 1st episodes of D.Gray-Man and Devil May Cry for free but you have to buy the rest of the episodes of both series and everything else is free. I really like it though I have 3 anime categories I can watch On Demand and it's all for free!

I noticed that last week I saw Funimation AOD in my area. The selection could have been better, but some is better than none. The only shows on thei AOD selection that I found to be of an interest was Peach Girl and Case Closed (Because of the former I ended up buying the series on DVD since I liked what I saw.)

I've had it on my Comcast for some time now. Close to 5 monthes I believe. But you had to pay a subscription. I've had the Anime Network for some time but the selection was pretty blah. I hope for anime select some are free. And it be nice to recent some of the movies. Good news indeed.

I'll have to remember to call Comcast tomorrow- we've had some very annoying problem with our local comcast moving to digital brodcasting- apparently, their idea of 'don't worry, your covered' means we lose half our channels one day, have to wait for converter boxes- which made me mad, I've got 9 videogame systems and no real room for another TV item, let alone making sure I could plug the thing in. Then after the call->activate->wait an hour for it to take thing... my On Demand doesn't work. *sigh*

Freakin' BrightHouse. Not only is their parent company looking to cap broadband (unnecessary, I might add), it seems they "pick and choose" what to carry based on costs.

It's no secret BrightHouse doesn't pay the same rates as Comcast, but still.

*sigh*

I guess the "We'll cut episodes from the listings" offerings from Anime Network is about as close to an anime station as I can get.

And please don't suggest Cartoon Network. This station is nothing but ads to me now.

Too bad they are starting most of the series over. I only had a few episodes of XXXHolic and Aquarian to watch when they switched it over. I wish they offered the subbed versions too instead of just the dubs. The Ouran High School Host Club dub is horrible.
