posted on by Egan Loo
The June issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi shōjo magazine has announced on Friday that Instant Teen - Just Add Nuts manga creator Haruka Fukushima will launch a new series called Chocolate (Chokoreito) in the next issue on June 3. The story centers on Chii, "a girl who has yet to know love." One day, she encounters a mysterious transfer student named Rei. Chocolate, which will feature a cover illustration and a color opening, is the latest manga with a food-themed title from Fukushima. Tokyopop published her Instant Teen - Just Add Nuts (Otona ni NUTS), Cherry Juice, and Kedamono Damono manga in North America. Del Rey just published her Orange Planet title this week.
The same June issue also launched the Watashi ni xx Shinasai! (Please Do [Secret] to Me!) manga by Pixie Pop: Gokkun Pucho and Mamacolle creator Ema Toyama. The "unpredictable situation comedy about flirtation" centers on a secret relationship that begins between the "absolute-freezing-point ice queen" and the most handsome boy in the freshman class. Nakayoshi posted a sample of the manga online. Both of Nakayoshi's new manga series are part of the magazine's 55th anniversary celebration. Tokyopop published Toyama's Pixie Pop: Gokkun Pucho in North America.
Madoka Seizuki ended her Celeb na Dorei (Celebrity Servant) manga in the current Nakayoshi issue.
