posted on by Egan Loo
The official Japanese website for the Tytania television anime series has begun streaming a promotional video on Saturday. This video features the "Lost in Space" ending theme song by the music duo Psychic Lover (Bakugan Battle Brawlers, Witchblade).
This project is based on a popular space opera novel series by Yoshiki Tanaka, the author of Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Sohryuden - Legend of the Dragon Kings, The Heroic Legend of Arslan, and Ryoko's Case File. The anime series will feature veteran director Noboru Ishiguro (Macross, Orguss, Megazone 23, Galactic Heroes) and original character designer Haruhiko Mikimoto (Macross, Orguss, Megazone 23, and Aim for the Top! Gunbuster). Mikimoto had illustrated the three original novels, which follow a soldier as he flees the spacefaring Tytania empire and seeks refuge with a force leading a rebellion.
The website has posted the anime character designs. It has also announced that Ken Nishikiori's opening theme song "Ano Sora o Yuke" will ship on November 19, while Psychic Lover's ending theme song will ship on December 17. The anime itself will premiere in Japan on October 9.
