Satsuki and Mei's Home to Stay in Aichi

Popular Exhibit The Focus of Much Wrangling.
The question of where the hugely popular attraction, Satsuki and Mei's home, would be relocated to when the 2005 World Expo in Aichi closes in September has been the subject of much discussion and speculation in Japan.
Several cities and groups have put forward competing proposals to host the unique replica of the house from My Neighbor Totoro, however it was announced this week that plans have been solidified to transfer the house to the Aichi prefecture in September.
Although the Aichi prefecture will not have to pay to buy the house, there has been discussion regarding the high cost of maintaining it.
They have not yet announced any details regarding where the house will be placed or how it will be maintained.
