Anime-influenced American work wins "Alternative Media" festival

Richard Dombeck's Shizuka Arashi wins the "Action/Adventure" category of the First Annual alt.SHO.com festival.
Yahoo is reporting the recent alt.SHO.com Alternative Media Festival Results.
Computer Animator Richard Dombeck's winning entry, Shizuka Arashi, is a Flash animation created in an "anime style that depicts a clash between two martial artists and the eventual victor."

According to alt.SHO.com, "two main inspirations for his work are the anime of Ninja Scroll and Rurouni Kenshin."
