Fate/Grand Order Introduces Limited Swimsuit Event with Anime Ad

The popular Fate/Grand Order mobile game launched its limited "Here We Come! Las Vegas Official Bout: Tournament of the Seven Swimsuit Blademasters! event on August 14 with a promotional anime commercial. Like previous ads, the animation was produced by A-1 Pictures.
The ad was directed and storyboarded by Yūsuke Maruyama (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works episode director). Yumi Kuroiwa (Haikyu!! animation director) and Seiko Asai (Fate/Apocrypha key animation) served as animation directors for the ad. Eiji Wakamatsu (Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale) drew the background art.
Fate/Grand Order has grossed US$3 billion worldwide as of March 2019 according to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data. Last February, FGO was the No. 2 ranked mobile game for global revenue at US$84.3 million. It placed No. 59 in the United States. Aniplex released the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game in Japan in summer 2015. The game received an English release in the United States and Canada in June 2017.
The game is inspiring the Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia the television anime in October and the two-part Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot films.
