Hiroyuki Sawano's 'Cage/Binary Star' Single Tops iTunes Animation Category Chart

Composer and music producer Hiroyuki Sawano's latest single raced to the top of iTunes' Animation Chart on Wednesday, placing first in the album chart and third in the singles chart. The "Cage/Binary Star" single includes the opening theme for this season's The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These and the official theme song for Odaiba's life-size Unicorn Gundam. Singers Uru and Tielle provide each of the song's vocals, respectively.
The single is Hiroyuki Sawano's sixth so far. The album comes in three different editions, two are special editions with either Unicorn Gundam or Reinhard and Siegfried on the cover. The normal edition shows a sci-fi piano on the cover. All three versions have a total of six tracks including the two previously mentioned themes and an instrumental version of each theme. Singer Gemie is featured on the album's third track "Roller Coaster" and Tielle also sings on the fourth track "Amazing Trees ?extended ver.-"
Sawano is holding a "one man live" concert on May 13 with guests Uru, Do as Infinity, Aimer, and other vocalists. Besides his recent contribution to The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These, he has also worked on themes for Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins, Juni Taisen: Zodiac War, Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga, and Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign.
