Fan-Animated Video Pits Pokemon, Digimon, Fullmetal Alchemist Characters in Battle

YouTube user azuresakuga loves anime so much that they spent the last year creating a one-minute animated video including some of their favorite characters. Ash from Pokémon, the Digimon crew, Edward from Fullmetal Alchemist, Nanoha Takamachi, and more race across the screen in a fast-paced action sequence.

Azuresakuga is also streaming a detailed "making-of" video showing the amount of time and effort that went into animation. They also commented on the video's upload on niconico (translation by Rocket News 24:

“Hello, Azure here.

The project I've spent an entire year on is finally complete. I started on March 13, 2014 when the YouTube drawing contest was announced. Myself and all other contributors to this are not professionals in any way, we're just amateurs. Even though we had no idea what we were doing at times, we somehow finally managed to complete it.

My goal with the piece was to animate some of my favorite characters as I remember them.
