Silver Spoon Manga Offers Mail-Order Hokkaido Bacon
posted on by Ederlyn Peralta
Hiromu Arakawa's Silver Spoon made its 100th appearance on the current issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday, issue 19. In celebration, Weekly Shonen Sunday created the "Hachiken Pork Fund," which allows customers to mail-order pork from Hokkaido.
Each set cost ¥1700 yen ($16.71), and consists of native goods from Tokachi, Hokkaido such as ham, sausage, and bacon. In addition, the goods are packaged with Tamako or Pork Bowl stickers.
Since there are only 1000 sets on sale, customers should pre-order as soon as possible. For more information, check out Weekly Shonen Sunday issue number 19.
Besides buying pork products, customers can also buy a ticket to the live-action movie, Silver Spoon, that is currently playing in theaters nationwide.
