One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 To Have Samurai Warriors DLC
posted on by Sarah Nelkin
The 16th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will reveal on Monday one new playable character for Namco Bandai Games' One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 game, as well as DLC that will be available for the game.
The character that will be revealed will be the dark-hearted Shichibukai member, Marshall D. Teach, also known by his pirate name Blackbeard.
The downloadable content revealed for the game is a collaboration between Koei Tecmo's Samurai Warriors video game series, with Oichi's Samurai Warriors 3 outfit available for Nami and Kai's Samurai Warriors 3 outfit being available for Robin. Koei Tecmo Games and W-Force develops both the Samurai Warriors and One Piece Warriors series.
Namco Bandai Games will release the game in Japan on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita systems on March 20, while its European and American branches will release the title for PlayStation 3 this summer.
In Japan, the first copies of the game will include a download code for the battle uniform that Luffy wore in last year's One Piece Film Z, as well as the serial code for obtaining a limited in-game figure in Mobage's One Piece Grand Collection phone game. A limited Treasure Box edition will contain the game itself, an original skin sticker for the PlayStation 3 console, a pin badge display booklet to hold the pins that were bundled with the first game, a second set of 15 collection pin badges, and an original soundtrack CD.
