Nana Mizuki Leads Japanese Dub of Hunger Games
posted on by Egan Loo
Prolific singer and voice actress Nana Mizuki has taken on the Japanese dubbing role of the lead character Katniss Everdeen in the live-action film of The Hunger Games novel. Mizuki voiced Agatha in Minority Report and Dianna Agron's Sarah role in I Am Number 4 — a reprising of sorts, since she dubbed Agron's Quinn Fabray role in Glee. However, Katniss (played by Jennifer Lawrence in English) is Mizuki's first headlining role in a Hollywood film since she debuted in 1998.
The film will open in Japan on September 28, after opening in the United States in March and being the first film since Avatar to rank #1 for four weeks at the American box office.
