Hatsune Miku 'Pachinko' Revealed as Slingshot Room Sign

Naka no Hito (1-gō) — the "semi-official" Twitter account of Sega 's Team Project DIVA team — revealed plans "finally" for a pachinko version of the virtual Vocaloid idol Hatsune Miku on Friday, and added that a product is already ready to be released at the Comic Market 82 event next week. As it turns out, Sega meant "pachinko" in the original Japanese definition — a slingshot:
The 1,500-yen (about US$19) item is actually a "slingshot-shaped room plate" — a room sign for telling visitors if you are in or out. The artist CAFFEIN illustrated the sign.
As to why Sega is selling this as a "slingshot-shaped room plate" instead of a "slingshot," Naka no Hito notes there are various issues such as safety guidelines …
