Bandai to Launch "Strict-G" Gundam-Inspired Men's Apparel Store
posted on by Ko Ransom
The Japanese conglomerate Bandai has announced that it will open "Strict-G" stores, which will sell men's apparel inspired by their Gundam series, around Japan beginning in April. The store will reportedly target fashion-conscious male Gundam fans from their twenties to forties, and will feature both original items as well as collaborations with major Japanese fashion brands such as Edwin, Jam Home Made, Swans, and Alpha.
Items to be sold at the stores advertised in a press release include short-sleeved shirts inspired by the Earth Federation uniform (13,440 yen, about US$165), Earth Federation-inspired Edwin jeans (20,790 yen, about US$255), and Gundam-colored sunglasses and bracelets.
Strict-G stores are currently scheduled to open in April at the soon-to-open miniature Gundam theme park, Gundam Front Tokyo, as well as in a service area in Fukuoka prefecture. While the Tokyo store will be a full-featured shop, the "Neopasa Fukuoka" store will only feature a display of items and a variety of vending machines that sell the items.
