posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Bandai Namco Games has begun streaming the fourth promotional video for the Tales of Xillia role-playing game on its YouTube channel. The game publisher had previously streamed the other promotional videos for the game. The new video focuses on the story scenario.
The PlayStation 3 game is the 13th title in the flagship Tales of series, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary. For the first time in the franchise, the new game features two protagonists — the female one designed by Mutsumi Inomata (previous Tales of games, Windaria) and the male one designed by Kousuke Fujishima (previous Tales of games, Aa— Megami-sama—). It takes place in the world of Liese Maxia, where humans, demons, and spirits once co-inhabited peacefully.
Namco Bandai Games announced at "Tales of Festival 2011" that the game will be released September 8 in Japan.
The game will feature downloadable costumes for the main cast, including an Ayumi Hamasaki Utahime costume, costumes from the anime Star Driver Kagayaki no Takuto and a costume tie-in for its female characters with the Idolm@ster 2 videogame, which will also be made available as downloadable content.
Tales of Xillia is also receiving two manga adaptations, one from each protagonist's point of view.
