Yui Horie Stars in Moe Weather App
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The smartphone content developer Edia has released a new version of its weather-forecasting and fortune-telling application "Moe TV" for Android devices on Wednesday starring voice actress Yui Horie (Toradora!'s minori Kushieda, Vampire Knight's Yūki Cross). The app already has other versions starring Miyuki Sawashiro (Kimi ni Todoke's Ayane Yano, Highschool of the Dead's Saeko Busujima), Rie Kugimiya (Fullmetal Alchemist's Alphonse Elric, Toradora!'s Taiga Aisaka), Takahiro Sakurai (Code Geass' Suzaku Kururugi, D.Gray-man's Yu Kanda), and Norio Wakamoto (Sengoku Basara's Oda Nobunaga, Hellsing Ultimate's Alexander Anderson). The Yui Horie version will be available for iOS devices at a later date, while the other four versions are already available for both Android and iOS devices.
The application has different characters providing the user with the national weather for Japan for the current day and the next day just like a morning television program. The characters also provide local and weekly weather forecasts. In addition, the characters will also provide the user with a daily fortune. The app will also have a special event on days like Christmas.
The official website for the app is currently streaming a 2-minute preview, which can be viewed below, featuring the character Tsubomi Hinata (Sawashiro). Video previews of the other versions of the app can be found at Edia's YouTube channel.
