Save the Meiji Government at Rurouni Kenshin Escape Game

The historical action manga Rurouni Kenshin will get a mystery-solving real-escape game at the Museum Meiji-Mura in Inuyama on September 11 until December 15. Participants become disciples of Kamiyakatsushinryu, the way of Kaoru's father's dojo, to challenge the villain Shishio who plans to overthrow the Meiji-era government.
Participants will walk around the open-air museum and talk with staff while really learning sword techniques. Tickets can be purchased at Mueseum Meiji-Mura.
Nobuhiro Watsuki first launched his 28-volume Rurouni Kenshin manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1994. The manga has more than 60 million copies in print. The manga centers around Kenshin Himura, once a deadly assassin during the Meiji Restoration, who is trying to find a new life beyond violence.
The manga is inspiring two new live-action films set to premiere next year. The "final chapter" finished shooting in June. The final chapter consists of two films that will debut in summer 2020. The first part covers Jūji Kizu no Nazo (Mystery of the Cross-Shaped Scar), and the second part is Saikyō no Teki・Enishi (Most Terrifying Enemy - Enishi).
Takeru Satoh is reprising his role as Kenshin Himura, and Keishi Ōtomo is returning to direct the films.
