In the scene where Sector 7 headquarters in Colorado is introduced in 2003, a map of the Philippines appears on one of the monitors on the background. This is a reference to artist Don Figueroa's home country.
The songs Bumblebee plays are generic derivatives of popular songs. As he's linked to the Wi-Fi connection of an internet cafe, a version of U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" is heard on his radio. While he's being chased by Barricade, he plays versions of Chumbawumba's "Tubthumping" and Sheryl Crow's "Everyday is a Winding Road."
Transformers: Beginnings marks the small screen return of Frank Welker as the voice of Megatron (in addition to his appearance in Transformers: The Game).
