Plot Summary:
On the planet Cybertron, a war between two robot races - Autobots and Decepticons - has raged for thousands of years and sent the planet off its original orbit toward the Solar System. While clearing an asteroid field to save Cybertron, Optimus Prime and his Autobot crew are attacked by Megatron and his Decepticons, forcing Prime to send the Autobot ship on a suicide crash toward Earth to prevent the Decepticons from obtaining it. Four million years later, in the year 1984, a volcanic eruption reawakens the ship, which repairs both the Autobots and Decepticons; thus resuming the war of the Transformers.
