The City Safety Management Agency's Special Unit has their office in a Flatiron Building similar to the one found at the intersections of 23rd Street, 5th Avenue, and Broadway in Manhattan.

Siberbia and its citizens in episode 17 are patterned after the Ainu people of northern Japan and the Russian Far East.
Giovanni's mohawk in episode 24 is a nod to Travis Bickle's disguise in the 1976 film Taxi Driver.
