Trivia:
In the 2nd ep Issei and an Otaku fanboy over the manga called Drago-soball which is a parody of Dragonball
In ep 7 at 16:18 Isse makes a Pokemon reference when he says Sprite Dragon I choose you when he is trying to obtain his pet. Part of the word you does get cut off thought because they are attacked by slime before he can finish speaking the classic catch phrase. The sprite dragon is also similar to Pikachu in that it uses electric shocks on Isse like when Pikachu used to dislike Ash in the 1st few eps.
In episode 4, around 4:28 minutes into the episode, a poster of Suigintou and plushies of Suiseiseki can be seen in the UFO catcher
