Index-Librorum-Prohibitorum, the name of 103,000 grimoires implanted on Index's brain, is a reference to a list of publication prohibited by Roman Catholic Church with the same name and was abolished on June 14th, 1966 by Pope Paul VI.
The insert song used in the episode 12 of the series is entitled "Ame" (lit. Rain) which was sung by Mami Kawada. The said song was originally a coupling song for her 6th single "PSI-missing" which was the opening theme for this anime series.
The assault rifle of the Misaka Imouto Clones use is similar to the most-modern-looking rifle: the FN F2000.
In the prelude of the episode 10, the sniper rifle that the Misaka Imouto used is similar to the M82 Barrett .50 caliber rifle.
In episode 10 at the 11:01 mark Misaka puts on her goggles while talking to Touma the next frame she is still holding the goggles in her hand. Then the frame after that the goggles are back on her head.
In Episode 15, at 15:25, Shana-tan refers to Shana from Shakugan no Shana
In episode 15 after attacking "Index" and his parents - he appears all tied with a mask like - Hannibal Lecter in "Silence of the Lambs"movie
In episode 22, at around 2:00, the game "Near Fantasy Space" is a reference to an 1985 arcade game called "Fantasy Zone".
