posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
NIS America announced on August 17 that it is delaying its release of the Disgaea 5 Complete game for the PC again to this October. The game was originally slated to release via Steam on May 7, before being delayed to this summer. The game will have a closed beta in September.
NISA has lowered the price of the game from US$49.99 to US$39.99, and lowered the price for pre-purchasers from US$39.99 to US$29.99. Those who pre-purchased the game in May will be automatically upgraded to receive an artbook from the game's "Digital Dood" edition. NISA has asked Valve to refund all purchases of the game to date.
The game will include English and Japanese audio and English and French text options.
The game will include all eight bonus scenarios, four "fan-favorite" characters, and three new character classes that NISA originally released as DLC in Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, the PlayStation 4 version of the game. Those who have Disgaea 2 PC will also receive four new weapons.
Nippon Ichi Software originally created the game for PlayStation 4, and released it in Japan in March 2015, and in North America in October 2015. NIS then released Disgaea 5 Complete for the Nintendo Switch in Japan in March 2017, and NISA released the game in North America and Europe last May in both physical and digital versions.
