Anime Expo 2018 Caps Out Attendance at 110,000; Next Year's Dates Set

The Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA) announced that this year's Anime Expo in Los Angeles had 110,000 unique attendees, which was the attendance cap the staff placed on badge sales. The event's turnstile attendance was more than 350,000.
The SPJA also noted that it had more than 524 exhibitors, 1,700 volunteers, and 150 guests and industry appearances. Attendees came from more than 70 countries.
Finally, the SPJA announced that Anime Expo 2019 will take place next July 4-7 with a preview night on July 3.
This year's Anime Expo took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 5 to July 8, with a pre-show event on July 4.
Last year's Anime Expo had 115,726 total unique attendees with the inclusion of the preview night, and a turnstile attendance of 357,178. This year, Anime Expo did not disclose how much of its attendance came from preview night.
