Animal Crossing App Game Delayed Until After March

Nintendo announced in its consolidated financial highlights report on Tuesday that it is revising its release schedule for its Animal Crossing smartphone game in order to "accommodate the releases and operation" of Fire Emblem Heroes and Super Mario Run. Nintendo initially announced last April that the game was slated for fall 2016, and it is now slated for release in the next fiscal year (after March 31).

Nintendo's Fire Emblem app was also slated for fall 2016, though Nintendo did not reveal Fire Emblem Heroes until January 18. The game is slated to launch on February 2. Super Mario Run launched for iOS devices on December 15, and it is slated to launch for Android in March.
