Nintendo announced at its financial results briefing on Wednesday that it plans to launch mobile apps for Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing this fall. Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe also announced the games.
The Fire Emblem app will be more accessible compared to previous Fire Emblem games, but Nintendo said that it "aims to offer the great value of a role-playing strategy game."
The Animal Crossing app will be connected to the world of Animal Crossing from Nintendo's dedicated gaming systems. Nintendo stated that users will "find increased enjoyment" from playing both games.
Both apps will be have more game elements than Miitomo, and content that will tie more closely to Nintendo's dedicated game business.
Nintendo launched its first smartphone game, Miitomo, in March and it has reached more than 10 million users worldwide.
Nintendo plans to launch approximately five smart device titles by the end of March 2017.
