Comic Market 91 Attracts 170,000 on Day 1

The Comic Market (Comiket) 91 event in Tokyo drew about 170,000 attendees on its first day on Thursday, December 29.
Attendance was up from Comiket 89's first-day count of 150,000 attendees last December, although not as high as Comiket 87's first-day total of 180,000. Attendance was also up from this summer's Comiket 90 first-day count, which numbered 150,000 as well.
Summer 2013's Comiket 84 holds the record for the most attendees on the first day with about 210,000.
