Comic Market 89 Attracts 150,000 on Day 1

The Comic Market (Comiket) 89 event in Tokyo drew about 150,000 attendees on its first day on Tuesday, December 29.
Attendance was down from Comiket 87's first-day count of 180,000 attendees last December — a Winter Comiket record. It is also down from this summer's Comiket 88 first-day count, which numbered 180,000 as well.
