It'd be a first for Sentai if they do. I'm not sure if they'd think that it'd be worth it to do a limited theatrical release though. (ironically, they're the only major anime licensor over here that hasn't done a theatrical run for any anime movie from what I recall)

1.5 months since release and they're expanding the release? Wow. Bravo once again to the creators and staff involved. Hopefully this will not be the last of Girls und Panzer.

I just watched the series for the first time last week and really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to this movie whenever it eventually makes it over to this side of the pond.

I guess this is pretty good for an anime release, but for comparison the latest Star Wars probably grossed more in less than a single day.
