I approve of them being called "Glitter" in place of Cure (both are just nominal words) I am passive about some of the name changes (it happens), but what is nagging me is the voice direction presented so far, even in the Precure transformation shout outs you could tell a noticeable difference in personality even if they had similar personalities (such as Sunny and March) from this promo the voice direction made it sound like they were ALL trying to play the same type of personality type without enough style differentiation.
This is likely to be a disaster piece, I will watch as much as I can but am not expecting a happy outcome. |

Laura Bailey? You have my attention. The rest of the cast sounds very familiar too, so it's certainly a high quality group of actors.
After reading the premise, it's pretty much My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic but with magical girls. With that said, I'd give it a shot if I had Netflix. Might ask a friend for his credentials. |

I usually stay away from anime that mimic Sailor Moon, but... is this worth watching???

The source material is worth watching, the season of Heartcatch featured Sailor Mercury's original seiyuu playing the role of a Moon themed Cure (clearly a blatant shout out), that said Precure is without a doubt the successor to action magical girl series. |

Well, the lead character being voiced in most Funi works, well, cool! And maybe the others from somewhere I dunno yet, but yeah, this seems to be going nicely good. Will wait on the weekend! X3

Laura Bailey using her Sana voice? Yes please!
Mary McGlynn is directing, so no doubt it will turn out as good as can be given the alterations to the source material. |

Sounds amazing Laura Bailey sounds adorable with that voice <3
Really interested in watching this but sadly I have no interest in netflix and wont sub just for this one show. Is it safe to assume that this will be released on DVD at a later date? I really would love to watch this and add it to my collection |

You wouldn't think a series of this nature would have that much cultural odor that would serve as a barrier to entry. Sure the nane changes would probably be the big one. But, cutting the episode count down leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The world is becoming more globalized than ever before, it's just a shame that they still have to do stuff like this on what amounts to a very child friendly show.

Laura Bailey hasn't been in anything Funimation-related (other than Soul Eater Not!) in a long time. Like Troy Baker, she's been too busy with teh vidya to bother with animu for the last few years.
Netflix also has Knights of Sidonia and The Seven Deadly Sins, as far as exclusives go. Don't know if you'd like them, though. |

Thanks for that! I'm someone who usually waits until a home video release to watch something as I'm not fond of streaming as my way to consume anime and there's a pretty nice KoS LE by Sentai Filmworks that I plan to purchase so that takes care of that series. I have heard of the Deadly Sins anime and as someone who enjoys everything anime I'll probably enjoy it but it goes back to me not being fond of streaming anime and prefers waiting until a home video release so even those 2 wouldn't really justify it for me. Hopefully there is an eventual physical release as I am interested |

"all-new animated Netflix original series"
Wow, they are REALLY trying to make it sound as if they made this. It's like 4Kids desperately trying to make you believe the shows it butchered weren't make in Japan. Pretty sad. |

They did the same thing with Knights of Sidonia, and Seven Deadly Sins. I imagine its because they produced the English language version, but it is rather odd. |

It's just a fancy way of saying that you can only watch it on Netflix.
I have no opinion on the dub versus the original Japanese. Precure is one of those shows you hear about but would have to go out of your way to find subs. So as long as I don't cringe every few minutes while watching it then it's probably fine. Also here's the trailer for those of us living outside the US: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_vCktQgcdY |

I really want to be happy that my favorite Precure season (and one of my favorite animes ever) is getting a dub, I love dubs! ...but I don't think I can force myself to say that here. I'm staying far away from this one. |
