One thinks that this could have been avoided if the parody aspect wasn't made so obvious, since I can't imagine what inappropriate content would get something pulled from that smut publication.

Bu there wouldn't have been any copyright issues, so it almost assuredly has to deal with the content itself I have a feeling it has to do with that Youth Health Ordinance in Tokyo myself, as there have been several series either halted or no even launched because of it.

While I am a fan of parody/spoof/fair use/public domain, given how family-oriented (by Japanese standards), I might agree with this. Disney would so be on this if it was Mickey Mouse.

This just sounded like a terrible idea.

Semantics here: Oxford dictionary addresses a specific comedic take of this as being a "spoof" while "parody" would be generic. The reddit "The difference between Spoof and Parody!!" article addresses this.

I just listed thought raw of first volume, and I must say that "Risqué" does not even begin to describe it. It's like To-Love Ru Darkness but with lolis. Shocked spoiler[Not that I didn't like it...]

i got a nasty feeling that's the reason behind it as well cause there have been series with questionable content that got killed before going public cause of the YHO. its as i said during the aki sora dub thread. that dumbass law is what gonna kill the otaku industry unless the people especially voters that are otakus themselves remove these idiots from office before they do irreparable damage to the industry.

It's such a shame when stuff happens like this to manga & their creators. Art should not be censored or ordered to be removed from the public.

I bet the unpublished chapter had incest, that seems to be the trigger.

Even if it is implied incest, that would be an easy trigger to switch off.

Now I'm really curious about this manga. Removing it only increases my curiosity!

Somehow this will only make the manga more popular and make people want to read it.

BTW, this isn't the first time someone made an Erotic Doraemon Parody.
I believe there was Hentai Parody of Doraemon released in the 1990's.

TL;DR version.
they made a law so that immoral manga would stop being published in not-adults-only magazines and moved to those.what actually happened what that manga with explicit incest scenes that is in not-adult-only magazines stops being published because:
A) the authors won't relocate to an adult only magazine and they rather just work ona new manga without those themes.
B) in practice only around 10 manga (maybe less) have been hitby this law, even to love ru was deemed a perfectly decent and moral manga under these laws.
