Let the cross-shipping of Ryuko and Kyoko begin! Surprised

The S season is the Sailor Moon season I have not seen in it entirety so I'm quite excited in in seeing that with a fresh mindset.

Just need to sum up the announcements in one word.

But seriously, that's quicker than I expected. I don't think part 1 of Sailor Moon R is even released yet.

My thoughts on the casting:

Haruka and Michiru: I really need to hear their range, but I think they're good choices

Pro. Tomoe: He is the official voice for Sailor Senshi dads.

Hotaru: ... ... ...

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
(calms down)
I'm sure it would be close to her Madoka voice, but that voice would fit...

Lauren probably doesn't have as much of an issue playing a such a character as some other people might.

A 4/4/14 interview with the Organization Anti-Social Geniuses blog called "Q&A: Lauren Landa on Attack on Titan, Voice Acting, and Fanservice" reveals this when asked about anime getting criticized for fan service and its portrayal of women:

Quote:
For me personally, I’ve never had to worry about that. I’ve never been offended by fanservice, I’ve never been offended when a woman has a huge chest, I’ve never been offended when she may have…other bigger bodily functions…you know, whatever! I’ve never really paid attention to that honestly. When I get cast for a woman role that means that I’m good for it or that I’m good for the part, and that’s really all that I think about. I’ve never really gotten offended by anything. I mean I speak for myself of course, I can’t speak for the other actresses in the community, but I myself, I’ve never gotten offended. In fact, I felt very fortunate because all of the female characters that I’ve played have been incredibility strong and beautiful and sexy actually, and that, I don’t find anything bad in that at all. I don’t see any negativity in that. So I honestly can’t be offended by that.

As far as fanservice goes, I was in Ikki Tousen, and I played Chubou Sonken, and she is a very innocent character, so she didn’t have a lot of nudity scenes or any fanservicey scenes, but she was a part of fanservice scenes — again, that just did not affect me in any way, but to some other actress it may, I just would like to be considered open minded, and not only that, it really doesn’t affect me in any personal way.

Also, I remember at Saboten Con last year, there was a panel with some other VA and she mentioned about wanting to be on Game of Thrones. To this, Ian Sinclair said that she would have to be naked. From that, I believe I remember her giving him a somewhat disgusted look.

I don't know why I thought they'd never do it. Smile
Maybe it's because I didn't want to give away my prized Pioneer collection.

(Oh grow up, nobody likes the characters for any other reason anyway, the posing stuck-up snots.) Razz

I was sort of expecting Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as Uranus.

Viz likes to do wild and crazy things like not record the dub the week before the set is released.

Erica seems like a good choice considering Ryuko and her low voice so let's see how it goes. I'm not gonna lie though. I liked Uranus' 90s voice.

Talk about perfect casting. I can totally hear Ryuko and Uranus having the same voice, and quiet Madoka sounds like I would expect Saturn to sound.

@ CandisWhite:

Yeah, let's ease up on the sarcasm alright buddy? When I said what I said, I meant it was surprising that they decided to announce the cast when they did for characters one season ahead of the one that hasn't even been released on blu-ray yet which up until now, they haven't done before.

So let's ease up on the sarcasm where we treat people like morons, alright buddy?

Liking the potential for this cast! I think they can have a good spin on the characters. Uranus would be the most interesting for me. Wonder if she would sound older or gruff like the old one, different take, etc.

that's pretty funny because she uses a fake name for her role in Highschool DxD.I guess that series was the one that went too far to her taste?
