Video doesn't seem to be working for me EDIT: It's back again

Also do shorts count in the poll? Because if so my other vote goes to My Neighbour Seki, no contest. Even for a short the ED to that show was by far one of the most memorable.

Other than that, my other picks have to go to Aldnoah.Zero (Based Hiroyuki Sawano), Space Dandy (the Japanese version), Silver spoon (Goose House really need to do more theme songs) and Ping Pong (that song was so good, and had beautiful visuals too)

Favorite ED of 2014? Easily Nobunaga Concerto. It simply blows up every other endings.

Voted for Terror in Resonance. Whilst I didn't think the show was anything amazing, I really loved how disconcerting the end theme was.

Barakamon was, hands down, my favorite ED of the year, and I'm glad to see it on the list! What's really surprising is when I looked up some of Noisycell's other songs and found out what they usually sound like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFOzmcTnbSM
Talk about range Shocked

My other favorites that didn't make the list:
The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior: Just a really fun song that captured the sort of cynical humor the show thrived on, and probably a better fit for the series than its OP.
Captain Earth's 2nd ending theme. Mostly for the super fun popart style. Even when the episode was a disappointment, that ED made sure I kept coming back.
Tokyo Ghoul for the beautiful art and the haunting tones of People In The Box that worked as a perfect capstone to every episode. Second to Barakamon.

Mangaka San To Assistant San To. Everyone comes together to create this beautiful work- a manga of of panty shots granted but give some credit to the song.
Engaged to the Unidentified. It's cute, it's good. Both opener and ending are worthy.
We are all from Dormitory Kawai. I wish the show was this good.
In search of the lost future. the "waves" bit always cracks me up. Visually inventive where the show wasn't.
Daimidaler. Yup, I have no taste but a decent sense of humor.
Rokujyouma no Shinryakusha!?. At the end of the day/show, each girl is separate and unique. It's kind of a downer, I think
Rail Wars The other show where I love both the opener and closer. And I don't even like trains! Or the show that much... But I did watch it.
Sabagebu! I always had to resist pumping my fist in the air with them. I didn't always succeed.
Sora no method for trying to rip off Kanon as much as they could even if they are in the wrong season entirely. Another ending where I wish the show was this engaging.

10? If they bothered to animate more of them, I'd list more.

Now this is partially tainted by my unending love for both the Kagerou Project and Nagi Yanagi, but both the endings to Mekakucity actors and Nagi no Asakura are some of my favorite songs of the year. Seriously though, I have imported a lot of music from these sources because I am a sucker for Yanagi's super soothing voice (go listen to Hyouka no Kuni and be amazed) and Jin's amazing composition that somehow involves not terrible story writing.

And yes, you are cheating with the Bangles. But its cool, because I nearly fell out of my chair when I first saw the stardust crusaders ending theme.

As far as suggestions,

I think you have a clear idea of what kind of set lists will work. Your idea of doing set lists for long running series is a good one. I am assuming you are thinking in going back to previous years. Lists dedicated to particular musicians, singers, composers would be nice. I selfishly would like to see a list with OPs and EDs from the Monogatari franchise.

I look forward to seeing your next set list Hope.

^this, so much this. I know you aren't a big fan of Akiyuki Shibo (can't say I'm his biggest fan either) but Monogatari's theme songs rank among my favorites. I would totally love to see this.

Also expected Nobunaga Concerto as #1, was disappointment. But no one has seen it. It is an anime everyone will watch well after it has finished airing and likes.

YES! Terror in Resonance's ED was freaking amazing and complimented the show very well so pretty happy to see it there. Again, shame that Nagi no Asukara couldn't be consider for 2014 because the Ending songs by Nagi Yanagi were actually the reason I checked out the show in the first place.

Some of the EDs I liked in the 2014 shows are Rail Wars!'s and Nobunaga Concerto's.

AW YEAH! Thank you for putting aLIEz up as No. 8, Chapman-san. I greatly appreciate it!

No. 7: Excuse me while I fangirl...Anime hyper. Was not expecting this, but I'm so happy it was chosen! It is a great ED.

No. 5: LOL. Haru is definitely an adorable merman, I agree!

Good choice for No. 1 Anime smallmouth

Now, for ideas for the next set list...maybe go season specific? Like Winter/Spring/Summer/Fall 2014, or a Winter 2015 list. Also, you can do genre-specific set lists, either by anime genre (sports, romances, horrors) or music genres (j-pop, folk, instrumental) ect.

Then of course there's the One Piece list you could always do. My top choices are Hand's Up, Kokoro no Chizu and Share the World and Fight Together.

Oh I just thought of it; a 'most irrelevant OP/ED list', where the OP/ED doesn't match the content of 'their host' at all. Also a 'top 10 catchiest OPs/ED' list, ranking the songs that are sure to get stuck in your head.

Will this list cover OST's? Becuase there's right there's a lot of oppurtunities as well: Most beautiful, most epic, most sad. You know? The kind of vids Youtube are full of. Anime smallmouth

No love for Chaika: Coffin Princess here?! I am so crushed D'X

Methinks Hope doth not care for the harder rock or metal, and forsooth tends towards yonder folk songs

(but yeah, everything in the list was pretty great Razz)

I like rock and metal a lot, if it's "clean." I'm pretty allergic to what I would call "busy" or "overproduced" songs, where you can't distinguish layers of sound or individual elements and what they add to a track or how they build or change, and it just becomes a morass of overpowering noise instead. Conversely, I also don't like "metal" songs where the actual skill level of the instrumentation is pretty basic and they're just covering up their "chunk-chunk-chunk" repetition with shouting. So, Watamote's OP is j-metal I like. Bahamut is j-metal I do not like. Parasyte is okay.

Chaika's opening is cool! But it didn't make my top ten partially because it is a little on the generic and busy side of techno-driven stuff.
