That is so cool! I'm glad that they got the rights to the OVA. (Really an OAD, since it was a manga extra... that is the new term for that, right?) I am not sure that a manga extra has been included in a US release before...

They have. Many of them are from series published by Kadokawa like this one is. For instance, FUNi's releases of Is This a Zombie do include all three OVA's (two of which were originally bundled with light novels, and one bundled with manga).
