It's really ugly. I don't get the point. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

Laughing but that mentality is what certain fanbases like MLP pretty much exist on

No offense but couldn't they get people who know how to draw?

They do know how to draw.

And they know how to animate.

Try to think outside the box, people...I know it's not an art style you like but it doesn't mean they have to do animu style all the time. Neutral

From my understanding, the project is meant to combine a bunch of different art styles. A design being cartoonish does not automatically make it amateur. Actually, not being constrained by realistic human figures (and physics) is one of the perks of comics and animation.

As for the project, I really know little about it. I'm not a Sailor Moon fan, either. But best of luck to them.

And Sailor Moon is pretty cartoon-y. They have a lot of facial expressions that pretty much goes into it.

I'm no Sailor Moon fan, but I imagine this isn't meant to be taken so seriously. Just look at the character designs - I immediately thought of the Kanker sisters from Ed Edd and Eddy.

Yeah, some of you are on the same page as me. It doesn't necessarily have to be incredibly detailed or human-shaped to look cool.

I think I tend to get frustrated with American cartoons because almost all of them look flat and undefiled to me, especially when I hear people say "All anime looks the same" I respond "Yeah, well all [actually most] American cartoons look flat and have circles with dots for eyes."

But I don't think flat should necessarily be a bad thing, likewise, looking round, detailed, lots of attention to shadow and detail (like a lot of anime) shouldn't be a bad thing either. :/

I'm looking forward to this project as I'd like to see the different art styles!

Come to think of it, isn't this like Occupy Conan? Laughing
