I'm personally looking forward to Stardust Crusaders, Mahouka, FT, and Sidonia. Spring Season only a few more weeks to go!

I love polls where Japanese male otaku rank their most anticipated shows because it gives me a heads-up on what to avoid. Wink

So by contrast, you're going to check out the shows the females ranked? Surprised

Though to be fair Mekaku City Actors does have a significant fanbase for both genders.

Jeez, I've been so focused on the Winter stuff that I haven't even looked to see what is airing in the Spring.

Yeah, just looking at the season, the male picks seem to be the ones to avoid. This is one poll that I actually agree with the female picks.

So, is this a case of pure difference in tastes or elitism?

OH, I'm sure you're going to miss Mahouka Koukou [...], the novels always seemed awesome.

I'm anxious for Haikyu, having already read more than 70 chapters of it.
I need to catch up to Fairy Tail and JoJo, ugh.
I'm impressed there's no Date A Live 2 here.

I'm pumped for season 2 of Love Live. GochuUsa, Mahouka, and Dai Shogun are also interesting to me.

Mahouka seems like it could be interesting, but also like it could go completely off the rails with otaku pandering like too many LN adaptations today (I'm still hoping that Nanana's Buried Treasure will prove to not be one of those shows; Noitamina isn't the surefire bet it once was, but it's a bit of a ray of hope).

Nothing else on the list is my style, personally, but if one gets substantial acclaim and/or attention I'll likely give it a look. There are only two or three shows I'm excited much for this coming season anyway, so I've got some space on my schedule.

Well I hope you avoided Attack on Titan and the like then? Because they were pretty highly anticipated.

Mattaku da... I really couldn't find even a tad of inspiration since most japanese males are really prone to panty-showing ecchi shows. The ladies' choices are much more anime-oriented...

My choices are not so great either...

Ping Pong
Manga Artist & Assistant
No Game, No Life

but I probably will end up watching all and then dropping some in 3rd episode...

Got to love that Fairy Tail fanservice for the female audience (or non-heterosexual male audience). ;D

Shirtless/naked Gray Fullbuster, lol. Juvia must be so happy to be in a love triangle, LOL. Twisted Evil

The men only ranked Jojo third? Those don't sound like men to me.

I'm so happy that Mekakucity Actors is in the top 5 and ranked 2 for the female demographic. We're not mainstream like everything else so it's nice to it ranked so high.

Really looking forward to it this spring it's going to be amazing Very Happy
