I'm having a hard time figuring out how this one is going to play out in execution, so it's one of the few new shows I'm looking forward to this winter.

Hozuki no Reitetsu and Space Dandy are the only two titles that I have consistently remembered were airing in the winter season. (I could also say Sailor Moon's reboot?/whatever but as of right now I highly doubt it's going to be airing in the winter so what's the point). I saw clips for it this summer and have been giddy with excitement since. Fun character designs, a subdued yet vibrant color palette mixed together with the bureaucracy of hell. Honestly, I think the only reason I'm more excited for Space Dandy is because of its unique situation (and Ian Sinclair). I'm also pretty curious how Wit Studio is going to do with this as their second tv anime production.
On a side note some of my excitement is from fangirling over the seiyuu. Cause seriously, Hiroki Yasumoto could read me the phone book and I would be completely entranced. |

I already saw the first episode at a premiere event in October. Very good anime. I've never read the manga, but it was very funny. Those who are fluent in Japanese and Japanese culture will especially enjoy it, as it has a lot of Japanese in-jokes.
Anyway, look forward to it! |

First thank you to all Otaku's residing in Japan, for keeping us in the States and elsewhere up to date on the news of new titles..(a respectful ARIGATOU ) hopefully I spelled it right.
I must declare that this season has some unique titles in a wide range.. From the incestous Pupa to my favorite type of anime .... Anything supernatural based out the beautiful and colorful Japanese mythology and the incredible pantheon of Kamis.. How it's an endless source of inspiration. I can't sit still ...... I can't wait to see Hozuki in action and how is hell portrayed in this anime. Once I see the 1st EP I will come back with the 411...... |
