RUNNING IN THE 90s!
IS A NEW WAY I LIKE TO BE!

Seriously though, you'd think a cop would know better.

Shouldn't he be in jail, instead of just being suspended? Rolling Eyes

Failed to think it thru, however.

80 km/h on a mountain road, despite the typical 30-40 km/h speed limit, is really, really pedestrian speed for a sports car.

He should have gone and done it on the track though. There are tons of track day events and open track sessions for drifting in Japan.

Blaming video game and anime to cover up your mistake. Yeah, sure. We do have cops in the US who think they're above the law, the police culture of speeding is not new in Japan this has happen in the US too, watch this video from ABC 20/20. This Japanese police officer that did this, I think he got the case of "I got a badge, so I can do whatever I want and I'm above the law" logic. Blaming video game and anime for his action is just a smokescreen.

A 3-month suspension? That's it? Guy should've lost his job, he could've killed someone. And, hopefully Japanese laws allow for the victim to sue him for all of his medical bills for the next 20 years, since this is going to majorly affect him.

And his lost employment wages, and future cost of living allowances.
