Pretty sure you require a black light in order to light up the figure, similar to the Gundam Unicorn model kits.

I can't wait for this thing to finally ship. I got mine pre-ordered on Amazon for $58 since the beginning of this month, but they seemed to have sold out at the moment.

I've been wanting to get into the SRC line and this figure seems like it will not disappoint, which I'm glad to hear since I really love Getter Robo.

Beautiful. I think this may be my first SRC; Getter is one of my favorite mecha franchises.

Also, I thought they called the scythe Getter Tomahawk in the Armageddon OVAs.

Nope, they're distinct weapons. You can see the tomahawk in the Youtube videos I linked, actually. I've had a couple of Shin Getters (Aoshima and Yamato; I managed to break both in some ugly accidents) over the years and they both packed the tomahawk.

I want this. I've been staring at the Super Robot Chogokin line for a while now and I think Shin Getter would be a great way to introduce myself. I would love to see MazinKaiser from the MazinKaiser SKL OAV from this line too.

The SRC of Mazinkaiser SKL actually came out when the OVA first did in Japan. Unfortunately it was always an online exclusive, first offered in a bundle with the first episode on DVD for about a hundred bucks total. (I actually tried to get it for Astro Toy back then.) You can probably still get it for an absurd premium on Ebay etc. Last I saw it for sale it was up to $150.
