In the end Index owes aload of cash and then there's a whole fraud thing. Worse case I guess Atlus and Madhouse will be sold off but there's little chance of thm shuting down.

I'm not too worried, considering Atlus has been around longer than Index. Theoretically, if Index did go under, they could probably strike out on their own again. And if not, then I'm pretty sure "MegaTen" is a big enough franchise over there that someone will buy Atlus (preferably Nintendo or Sony).

Of course, I finally become a fan of a JRPG developer and now all this happens.

Go Figure.

Given how unnecessarily long it takes them to get games out over in Europe, I could honestly see the back of them.

Get bought out by N1S or something, Atlus.

Atlus~~~~ what does this mean?!

I love those guys more than Square Enix at the moment. I really REALLY hope game development isn't on a hold.

I prefer NIS to Atlus now, because Atlus only puts out handheld titles, while NIS puts out Console titles; but they would be a good fit together as Atlus did publish a lot NIS earlier works before they became their own distributor.

Also at the person who suggested Nintendo buy Atlus, that would all but cripple any chance of ever seeing the games on consoles again. Its bad enough Nintendo has Fire Emblem and the Xeno franchise maker. But having Atlus as well, they have already put far too many noble jrpgs to shame.

Right, I forgot Nintendo only makes handheld systems. Oh wait...

Besides, I said that they'd probably get bought out if they couldn't survive on their own. I don't know about you, but if there's a choice between Atlus games being exclusive to Nintendo platforms and Atlus not making games at all, I'd prefer the former.

Yeah, the consensus on "Xenoblade" and the new "Fire Emblem" was that they were steaming piles of crap. Oh wait...

I hope the majority of the Atlus employees will be able to stick together, it's a shame that a good number of J-RPG series have had to end unexpectedly or just wither away because of similar situations.
