Nickelodeon? Are they serious? They're putting Digimon on the same channel as Spongebob? Considering the script's pretty whitewashed for the dub maybe that isn't too surprising, but there are moments of attacking violence that I don't think would sit comfortably with Nick, unless they edited those out completely.

They aired Dragonball Z Kai and Dragonball GT on Nicktoons. Is this more violent than either of those? There were edits, of course, and I imagine they'll do what they feel is needed here too - I don't think the title is too out of place at this point, though.

Violence, schmiolence. Digimon is on Nickelodeon for the same reason Power Rangers is on Nickelodeon. And it seems like Saban Brands aren't putting all their egg on Nick like they have with the latter; I have to wonder which network gets first dibs at premieres.
Also, don't remember if ANN reported on this but classic Digimon is currently airing on Nicktoons.

Not more violent just more fanservice and stuff. Also, at least those were done by Funi, Saban will edit a lot more than needs to be edited to get it on TV. They want to sterilize it as much as possible.

Decent jobs were at least done for the first few dubs (Maybe they should bring Steve Blum back to write the script?).

I feel sorry for the people who will have to edit this.

Not particularly new information, this has been known for quite a while now. Hoping to see a trailer or something soon though, looking forward to seeing localizations and voice cast.

The first season of Digimon is currently airing on Nicktoons, and it's doing just fine. I don't think airing Digimon Fusion will be such a big deal for Nickelodeon.
It's the airing on the FCC-overcontrolled Saturday morning block Vortexx I'm worried about; this same Vortexx censors even the slightest bit of sexual reference or fighting, so yes, there is reason to be worried for Digimon. On Vortexx.

Some of you make it sound like they're going to become another 4Kids. IMHO however, I think we should put them to the test first. To put it another way, I think we should judge them on their own merits. Yes, there are some things that might need to be "altered" in order to meet U.S. BS&P, but hopefully Saban Brands (which is a completely different company from "Saban Entertainment") will only do that and not try to change the show outright. One thing is certain, however. Whatever it is they do, they'll be doing it right in front of everyone (i.e., since the complete original Japanese version is available on Crunchyroll). For this reason, it doesn't matter if it's before or during the show's U.S. broadcast. If the Japanese version is taken off Crunchyroll, then I WILL stop watching the dub.

Normally I wouldn't that worried about the Nickelodeon airing. Legend of Korra aired on there and arguably had roughly the same depictions of violence than Xros Wars did on a regular basis, save a couple of scenes. The fanservice is at risk but I think that would have probably been an issue no matter where it aired and I didn't care much fo r it one way or the other so it won't bother me too much to see it gone.
The Vortexx airing on the other hand complicates things since FCC regulated channels have slowly gotten more ridiculous over the years in terms of how little violence they want in their animated shows. Hopefully they do what Kai did and have Nick air a slightly less edited version, but I'm kinda scared they won't go through the effort

I think its safe on Nick. I don't think the violence would be censored that much.
Vortexx, however, is a different story. Ugh.

I was excited and then I remembered that Xros Wars was terrible.

Hopefully they will edit it for Nicktoons first, then edit more for the TV block. But that might cost more...

I'm just curious with how they'll edit Lilithmon, but especially Mervamon :/ They couldn't possibly leave it in for American kids... could they?

Just looking at a picture of Mervamon, it looks like they'd just need a shirt and maybe paint on some longer shorts to get her to the Daisy Duke standard. However, given that her Digimon Wiki page mentions "sensuality" quite a few time in the lede, I could easily be underestimating the work involved.
