Not surprised with the first three at all but hmm, Hidamari Sketch × Honeycomb sure is one.

The only one where this and the BD sales actually line up is SAO.

Na, Girls & Panzer is the only one who is out of order with the bluray sale. Normally the top Bluray/Dvd sales are top 5.

Edit: Kamisama Kiss's sales are too low to be top 5.

Chuuni and Little Busters both were in the top 5 sellers of the Fall season.

Kudos to SAO for being voted no 1.

I'm really suprised with Kamisama Hajimemashita at no.5. It looks like its popular, but not enough to buy the BD/DVDs.

I'm guessing Kokoro Connect was counted as a fall anime because of the few episodes they released at the end of the year?

I'm not sure why but it irks me that SAO was #1. I liked that series a lot but it really let me down after the first two episodes. It was still good though, but it seems impossible for me to judge it fairly now.

Then there's Little Busters. I've heard a lot of hype about this and I really didn't see anything good about it. I think I watched at least 5 episodes. Is there anything else later that makes this series worth watching? I do plan to watch all of it when Crunchyroll pics up all of it.

Little Busters is a Key anime. If you like shows like Clannad or Kanon, then Little Busters should be right up your alley. IMO, Little Busters Refrain is even better than Clannads After Story. Only problem is that its JC Staff this time instead of KyoAni, so the anime version at least doesn't have as much cohesiveness with its scenes and emotional impact as the VN.

Honestly I think Little Busters isn't in par with Chuu2Koi. So far the direction is terrible. The only thing that can cause the anime popularity is because it's Key and people are overhyping the anime.

I am actually surprised to see Psycho-Pass up so high. It is the sort of show that doesn't usually seem to be all that popular in Japan.

Second this. LB is definitley the weakest of the recent Key anime, and I don't see how it would be any better under a different animation studio.

My suprise is at the bottom, I thought Hayate would have more pull then that.

I guess it's lesson learned: Don't change a comedy into a drama series?

I actually didn't think it was too bad. I never seen Hayate prior to this show and now I'm going to check out more of the series eventually. It was probably their intention all along to draw in new viewers.

How about we change things a little bit with these polls? Laughing

Behold!

"What Genre of Anime Are You Starting to Grow Tired Of?"

  • According to another Biglobe survey conducted on Anime One in which nearly 6000 people replied:

    1. Harem anime – (691 votes)

    2. Imouto, or little sister anime – (516 votes)

    3. Anime that have famous voice actors, beautiful visuals, but no substance – (385 votes)

    4. Anime based on erotic games – (349 votes)

    5. Anime where all the male characters are beautiful – (327 votes)

    6. (tie) Battle anime based on Shounen Jump! manga – (318 votes)

    6. (tie) Anime about school club activities - (318 votes)

    8. Anime about awkward adolescents with inflated egos (chuunibyo) - (311 votes)

    9. Anime where all the women have large breasts and/or feature lots of breast exposure - (305 votes)

    10. Time loop anime - (284 votes)

The rest of the list here, with last but not least, bringing up the rear:

  • 23. Military-themed anime where the only characters are girls (only 34 votes)

Congrats! Laughing
