Eh. I think the "In a world..." voice over is unnecessary. They make it sound like a dark buddy cop movie.

Nah, it's just overused. Seems like every trailer starts with that, kinda like horror stories with "T'was a dark and stormy night..........."

Anime licensors have never really gotten a hold on making good trailers for anime. They're either super cliche or super immature and almost always have one of the voice actors pretty much detailing everything about the show. They've never grasped the whole "less is more" aspect of recent trailers and don't let what's being shown speak for itself. It makes it painfully obvious that they're still trying to pander to a younger/immature crowd.

Though, ironically, every episode of the TV series does in fact start with the line "in this world."
(Not that the actual "In a world" phrase is used in the trailer)

THAT is awesome. This sounds like they're selling it to an audience that might not be totally interested in Berserk. I understand that they want to sell to people who don't know the show; but knowing what the show is makes me feel like this promo is a tiny bit misleading.

ADV used to make good trailers during its "Do It Now" phase.
